When I was a little boy I used to watch Sesame Street and loved the song, “Who are the people in your neighborhood?” I recently came across an interesting website that is a guide to the mosques in your neighborhood.
The name of the site is salatomatic. It claims to be the “world’s most comprehensive guide to mosques & Islamic schools.”
There are two mosques in my immediate neighborhood: the Bosnian Islamic Association of Utica (Sunni) and the Islamic Center of Utica (Shia). There is also a Muslim Community Association.
