Below are stories about the Uighur Muslims in Northwest China and the largest mass incarceration of an ethnic group since the Holocaust, an estimated two million since 2015. Do Muslims really believe in the ummah–all Muslims are bound together by religion?
This video comes from an Al Jazeera report on classified documents, reportedly leaked from within China’s Communist Party.
The following video is a FRONTLINE special undercover report from China’s Xinjiang region investigating the Communist regime’s mass imprisonment of Muslims, and its use and testing of sophisticated surveillance technology against the Muslim Uyghur community.
What the Chinese government is doing to its Uighur Muslim population is wicked and yet other Muslim nations—including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Qatar—have commended the Chinese for their “remarkable achievements in the field of human rights.”
What does ummah mean?
