This is RC Sproul’s 3rd of 6 lectures on the Mystery of the Trinity.
At the core of Islam and Christianity is belief in One God. Muslim understanding of monotheism is Unitarian, and the Christian understanding of the One God is Trinitarian. Understanding the Christian view of the Trinity is important because many Muslims think that the Christian doctrine of the Trinity is polytheistic. It is not.
In this lecture Dr. Sproul will 1. Explain the early church’s view of Christology. 2. Examine some of the Christological heresies in the early church. 3. Detail the decisions of the Council of Nicaea.
