Q: (…) But is the Quran the Word of God?

A: The Quran is a word of God (Allah the great) and Muhammed peace be upon him is the prophet of God who has been sent as a mercy to humanity with the great miracle, the Quran.

The prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him) was illiterate, cannot read or write, yet, The Quran style is linguistically so perfect for even a language expert to construct, so how about an illieterate human being who had lived with nonbelievers for a period of 40 years and had never been famous of any kind poetry, or as a language expert. The messages of Quran are God’s Words that bear miracles we witness today in the modern world of technology. (later, recite examples and expand more regarding this part)

In Surat Al-Juummu’ah (Friday) Verse 2: “He (Allah) it is who sent among the Ummiyyeena (unlettered ones) a Messenger (Muhammad peace be upon him) from among themselves, reciting to them His Ayat, purifying them (from the filth of disbelief and polytheism), and teaching them the Book (this Qur’an; Islamic laws) and al-‘Hikmah (Muhammad’s Sunnah),. And verily, they had been before in manifest error.” (62:2)

In Surat Yunus: Verse 16: Allah the great (Subhanahu wa Taala says): “if Allah had so willed, I [Muhammed] should not have rehearsed it to you, nor should he have made it known to you. will you not then understand?”

In another verse from the same Surat of Yunus, Allah Subhanahu wa Taala says: “But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, those who do not rest their meeting with Us say “Bring us a Reading other than this, or change this” say [Muhammed]: “It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it. I follow noyhing but what is revealed to me. If I were to disobey my lord, I should myself fear the Penalty of a Great Day (to come).”

Allah Subhanahu wa Taala promised to protect Quran from corruption and as a matter of fact, Muhammed Peace be upon him sent by Allah with the revalation of Quran (for the universe) to testify to the truth of Allah’s Messengers who came before him, resurrect a part of their law and purify their image from the slanders that were added to their legacies.
In Surat Al Saffat (Those Ranged in Ranks)” Nay!He (Muhammed P) has come with the truth (Allah’s Islamic monotheism and this Qur’an) and he confirms the messengers (before him who brought Allah’s Islamic Monotheism). (37:37) Among those prophets are porphet Sulaiman (Solomon) Mohammed (P) defends his sincerity of faith as it in in Surat Al-Baqara verse 102″Sulaiman (prophet Solomon Peace upon him) did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved” (2:102)

Also, the Quran came to re-establish the same Message of Tau’heed, Allah’s Islamic Monotheism, that Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala revealed to every prophet and messenger He sent before Muhammed Peace be upon him.

In Surat Al Anbiyya (the prophets)”And We did not send any messenger before you (O, Muhammad Peace be Upon him) but We revealed to him (saying): La Ilaha Illa ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah), so worship Me (Alone and none else) (21:25)
In surat Al-Araf (The Beights) verse59 “O my people! Worship Allaah! You have no other god but Him. I fear for you the Punishment of a dreadful Day!” (7:59)

The Old Testamnet attests to the fact that every prophet whom Allah sent was sent with the Islamic Monotheism, “4, Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord. 5. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy sould, and with all thy might.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)

The New testament also attests to the fact that prophet’s Esa (Jesus), peace be upon him, was sent with teh Message of Islamic monotheism, “29. And Jesus answered… The first of all the commandements is, hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord. 30. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all they hear, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” (Mark 12:29-30)

Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him invited mankind to the same Islamic Monotheism preached by every pophet sent by Allah Subhanahu wa Taalat. “The best statement taht I and the prophets before me ever made is, ‘La ilaha illa-llahu wa’hdahu la shareeka lah; there is no God except Allah, Alone, without partners”
(Al Hasan Hadeeth; Sahih at-Tirmidhi [3585])

“We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and was revealed to Abraham, isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord. We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam) Quran(3:84)

for the section below, I will do it soon another time inshallah.

    1. The Quran does not affirm Jesus’ death on the cross. If the Quran is wrong about the things of this world, then why would anyone believe what it says about the things of heaven?

    2. The Quran says:

And if he (Muhammad SAW) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah), We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), And then certainly should have cut off his life artery (Aorta), (Qur’an 69:44-46, Muhsin Khan)

Shortly before Muhammad died Muhammad exclaimed:

….Narrated ‘Aisha: The Prophet in his ailment in which he died, used to say, “O ‘Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison.” (Sahih Bukhari 5:59:713)

      Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.

      First:
You said that, “The Quran style is linguistically so perfect for even a language expert to construct…” How do you know this? Do you speak classical Arabic? How could I know whether or not the Quran is inimitable seeing that I am not fluent in classical Arabic?

      Second:
The Unitarian monotheism (Islamic monotheism) in the Quran, along with its denial of the Fatherhood of God (does the Qur’an even understand the biblical teaching about the Fatherhood of God?) is not taught in the Old or New Testament. See: Trinitarian Monotheism or Unitarian Monotheism?

      Third:
I’m looking forward to your addressing two major issues as to why the Qur’an is not the Word of God:

      1. The Quran does not affirm Jesus’ death on the cross. If the Quran is wrong about the things of this world, then why would anyone believe what it says about the things of heaven?

Please read: Jesus’ Death on the Cross and the Quran

      2. Based on what Muhammad recited in the Qur’an (Qur’an 69:44-46) and based on Muhammad’s testimony when he was dying (Sahih Bukhari 5:59:713), he was not a true prophet of God. Muhammad is dead and buried in Medina. Jesus’ tomb is empty; He lives.
