Life of Muhammad
The BBC has a second episode on the Biography of Muahmmad called “The Life of Muhammad.” The life of Muhammad is important because he is the “ultimate role model” for Muslims.
In this episode (2 of 3) of the life of Muhammad – “Holy Wars” Rageh Omaar:
- Draws on the expertise of some of the world’s leading academics and commentators on Islam.
- Discusses events in the life of Muhammad life including the Night Journey to Jerusalem, his life threatening departure from Mecca, through to the establishment of the Constitution of Medina and the eight year war with the Meccan tribe.
Part 3, “Holy Peace”
In this episode (3 of 3) of the life of Muhammad – “Holy Peace” Rageh Omaar:
- Analyses and investigates key events during the later part of his life, including the introduction of a moral code known as Sharia and the concept of Jihad.
- The program also explores Muhammad’s use of marriage to build alliances, and looks at the key messages included in his final sermon.
