The Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan. Eid al-Fitr is a holiday that some compare to the Christian celebration of Christmas. The Islamic calendar is lunar and so Muslim holidays fall on different days of the year and begin based on moonsightings. In North America, the Eid al-Fitr will be on the evening of April 21, 2023.
