We are prone to stereotype others we do not understand or misrepresent those we don’t agree with. As a Christian, I believe this is a violation of the 9th commandment, “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor”; it is a violation of Jesus’ summary of the Law that we “love our neighbor as ourselves.”
